    ราชวิทยาลัยศัลยแพทย์แห่งประเทศไทย (รวศท.), สถาบันการแพทย์ฉุกเฉินแห่งชาติ (สพฉ.), คณะแพทยศาสตร์มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และโรงพยาบาลศูนย์ขอนแก่น จัดหลักสูตรอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ "การดูแลผู้บาดเจ็บในห้วงก่อนถึงโรงพยาบาล - Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)" ที่โรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น โดยมีผู้เข้าอบรมเป็น แพทย์ พยาบาลวิชาชีพ เจ้าหน้าที่ EMT และ Paramedic เพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะในการประเมินและดูแลผู้ป่วยตั้งแต่ ณ จุดเกิดเหตุ

    The Royal College of Surgeon of Thailand (RCST) in cooperate with the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Khon Kaen University and Khon Kaen Hospital organized the "Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Course" at Srinagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Khon Kaen University for medical personnel to improve quality of pre-hospital trauma care.

"โดยในปัจจุบัน ประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศที่มีอัตราการบาดเจ็บและเสียชีวิตมากเป็นอันดับที่ 2 ของโลก (ข้อมูลจาก Global Status in Road Traffic Injury - World Health Organization 2015) ซึ่งมีสาเหตุมาจากหลายปัจจัย แต่สิ่งหนึ่งที่เราสามารถทำให้อัตราการเสียชีวิตของผู้ป่วยบนท้องถนนลดลงได้ คือการมี Pre-Hospital trauma care ที่ดี"

"Base on the Global Status Report on Road Safety 2015 by World Health Organization, Thailand has the second most morbidity and mortality from road traffic accidents, but one factor that we can prevent is to improve the quality of pre-hospital trauma care."

    Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Course เป็นหลักสูตรอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการณ์ ซึ่งมีลิขสิทธิ์มาจาก National Association of Emergency Medical Technician (NAEMT) ร่วมกับ American College of Surgeons' Committee on Trauma ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา จัดหลักสูตรขึ้นมาเพื่อยกระดับการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยตั้งแต่ก่อนถึงโรงพยาบาล โดยมีจุดมุ่งหมายคือลดอัตราการบาดเจ็บและเสียชีวิตของผู้ป่วยอุบัติเหตุ

    ทั้งนี้ ผู้เข้าอบรมจะได้รับความรู้ ทักษะการประเมิน และการดูแลผู้ป่วยเบื้องต้นตั้งแต่ที่เกิดเหตุ

    Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Course is the education program for prehospital emergency trauma care. PHTLS is developed by NAEMT in cooperation with the American College of Surgeons' Committee on Trauma. The Committee provides the medical direction and content oversight for the PHTLS program.

The Program contains / การอบรมจะประกอบไปด้วย

  • Interactive lecture

  • Demonstration

  • Skill station (เป็นกลุ่ม)

  • Theoretical examination / การสอบวัดความรู้พื้นฐาน

  • Skill examination / การสอบปฏิบัติเพื่อประเมินทักษะการดูแลผู้ป่วยแบบเป็นกลุ่ม

  • Scene assessment

  • Patient assessment

  • Airway

  • Breathing, ventilation and oxygenation

  • Circulation, hemorrhage and shock

ผู้เข้าอบรมที่สมัครจะได้รับ Text book Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Provider Manual (ซึ่งจำเป็นที่จะต้องอ่านจบก่อนเข้าอบรม) ก่อนการอบรมประมาณ 1 เดือน และเมื่อผ่านการอบรม (สอบผ่านทั้งภาคทฤษฎีและปฏิบัติ) จะได้รับ Certificate และใบอนุมัติ จาก NAEMT

  • Paramedic / EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic) : วิทยาศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาเวชกิจฉุกเฉิน (วทบ. เวชกิจฉุกเฉิน) หลักสูตร 4 ปี

  • AEMT (Advanced Emergency Medical Technician) / EMT-I (Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate) : ประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพชั้นสูง สาขาวิชาปฏิบัติการฉุกเฉินการแพทย์ (ปวส.ฉพ.) หลักสูตร 2 ปี

  • EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician Basic)
